In our learning about animals, and after doing a Graphic Bar Chart about them, asking our little grasshoppers:

What’s your favourite pet?

We focussed our inquiry on one of their favourite animals…

BIRDS

Connecting these pets with the country we are learning through, we have discovered a wonderful Bird, named

Lilac Breasted Roller

and discovering complexity, a “Brace Map” we took risks to elaborate

What a beautiful bird!

We expressed creativity and drew our point of view about it

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

…So What with this?

After learning that these birds are IN DANGER, our interest in the specie increased and took us to inquire about:

What could we do to protect them?

They felt responsible with the birds around the school because they didn’t want them to disappear, therefore, connecting and transferring their learnings and worries about birds to their closing surroundings…
We planned to build a safer and comfortable place for birds to live in, and…

BIRDHOUSES!!

What else could we do? they wondered…
To make birds being healthy and strong, we may feed them while they learn to find food on their own

 

 

Finally, we took their amazing birdhouses outside and hanged them on the trees
for being able to see birds setting their home 

 

 

…and our conclusion is…

ALL THE CHILDREN ARE ACTIVE CITIZENS WHO CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
